An aircraft struck Mt San Vicente while returning to Bucaramanga after dropping off military personnel for elections. All five occupants were killed and the aircraft was destroyed.

Incident

The aircraft was returning to Bucaramanga-Palonegro Airport after dropping off military personnel in Cimitarra for the upcoming elections. En route, the airplane struck the slope of Mt San Vicente, located in the Cordillera de los Cobardes (Serranía Los Cobardes). Upon impact, the aircraft was destroyed and all five occupants were killed.

The five occupants on board were: Cpt José Francisco López Rodriguez (pilot), Lt Hernán Bravo Bustamante (copilot), Fernando Hincapié Gómez (technician), Euledonio Roa Bautista (technician), and Luis Gerardo Maffia Benavides (technician).
