What happened
During the final segment of a flight originating from Bogotá, the crew of NSE742 began their descent when they encountered intense meteorological disturbances. The flight was subjected to heavy rainfall, significant turbulence, and low cloud cover. As the aircraft type approached its destination from an easterly direction, it impacted a rocky summit near Caño La Raya, located approximately 55 km east of Apiay AFB.
The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft type. There were no survivors among the 35 fatalities recorded on board. The flight crew and passengers were all lost in the accident.
