What happened
Approximately 42 minutes following its departure from Cuiabá Airport, a twin engine aircraft was performing a cruise at an altitude of 10,000 feet. In an effort to bypass a region of heavy rainfall and thunderstorm activity characterized by low pressure, the captain received authorization to descend to 8,000 feet. Shortly after this descent began, the aircraft lost stability and entered an uncontrolled dive. The plane struck the ground in an open field situated in Tangará da Serra. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the airframe and caused six fatalities, including both pilots and all four passengers.
