Accident Details
On January 9, an aircraft conducting a local training flight experienced a belly landing at Uberaba Airport. The landing occurred during the training flight, resulting in the aircraft touching down without its landing gear deployed. Following the incident, temporary repairs were performed on the aircraft.
Transfer and Pressurization Incident
After the temporary repairs, the decision was made to transfer the aircraft to São Paulo for further inspection and maintenance. During the transfer flight, after the pressurization system was selected, the aircraft sustained additional damage to its fuselage. This new damage forced the crew to abort the flight to São Paulo and return to Uberaba.
Conclusion
The crew executed a safe landing upon return to Uberaba Airport. However, the cumulative damage from the initial belly landing and the subsequent pressurization-related fuselage damage rendered the aircraft beyond economical repair. The aircraft was written off.
