What happened
On a scheduled ferry flight originating from Jeddah-King Abdulaziz Airport, an aircraft was performing a series of rotations between Cairo and Jeddah as part of a pilgrim charter program for Egyptair. The flight departed at 1905LT, transporting a total of nine crew members, which included three flight attendants from Egyptair and six technical personnel from TAROM.
Approximately ten minutes into the climb, while operating under night conditions and favorable weather, the aircraft experienced a loss of control. The plane subsequently impacted the surface of the Red Sea, roughly 20 km northwest of Jeddah. There were no survivors among the nine fatalities on board.
