What happened

On August 30, 2021, at 16:22 UTC, an Embraer ERJ 190-100 IGW, registration YV2944, was performing its takeoff roll on runway 09/27 at Maiquetia International Airport (SVMI). The aircraft, operated by CONSORCIO VENEZOLANO DE INDUSTRIAS AERONAUTICAS Y SERVICIOS AEREOS, S.A. (CONVIASA), was carrying 112 people, including 107 passengers and 5 crew members, on a flight bound for El Yaque, Nueva Esparta.

During the takeoff roll, the flight crew observed an "AT FAIL" (auto-throttle failure) alert and a discrepancy in the airspeed indications.
