On November 15, 2022, a Mi-8MTV-1 helicopter, registration RA-25830, was performing a scheduled commercial flight for JSC 'Angara' Airline. The flight route originated from Irkutsk airfield, traveling through Nyuçakan and Zhigalovo, before returning to Irkutsk. The crew, consisting of a captain, second pilot, flight engineer, and flight attendant, had completed pre-flight medical examinations and weather briefings at Irkutsk airport prior to departure.
After taking off at 01:01 local time, the aircraft landed at Nyuçakan at 02:57 to disembark passengers. The crew then proceeded toward the settlement of Zhigalovo for refueling operations. During the flight segment involving the approach to a landing area near Zhigalovo, the aircraft collided with the ground.
No injuries or fatalities were reported in connection with the accident. The aircraft was operating under a flight assignment that included transporting six passengers on the initial leg of the journey.
