What happened
During an arrival on runway 06, a single-engine aircraft experienced a series of bounces upon touchdown. Following these two impacts, the aircraft lost directional control and drifted off the paved surface. The plane eventually came to a stop within nearby bushes.
Despite the impact with the vegetation, there were no injuries reported among the two crew members, both of whom exited the wreckage unharmed. However, the aircraft sustained damage that rendered it a total loss.
Findings
Investigations into the incident identified two primary environmental and operational factors. The landing roll was performed while facing a tailwind component, which increased the difficulty of maintaining the centerline. Additionally, the state of the runway surface at the time of the accident was noted as being in poor condition, serving as a contributing factor to the excursion.
