Austrian air rescue operator Ara Flugrettung marks 25 years
Ara Flugrettung, a helicopter emergency medical service based at Klagenfurt Airport, is celebrating its 25th anniversary, with the airport praising its long-standing safety cooperation.

Ara Flugrettung, an air ambulance operator headquartered at Klagenfurt Airport in Austria, is marking 25 years of operation. The company has worked closely with the airport for much of that period.
The operator runs three bases in Austria: Fresach and Nassfeld in Carinthia, and Reutte in Tyrol. According to the company, emergency helicopters stationed at these sites are dispatched only through the respective regional emergency call centers.
Ara cooperates with the Carinthian Red Cross. It also belongs to the DRF Group, a German air rescue organization. Klagenfurt Airport used the anniversary to point to its long partnership with Ara, particularly around safety and emergency response coordination.
No further operational details, fleet information, or mission statistics were disclosed in connection with the anniversary.
