Leidos and Altaris close airport security screening joint venture
Leidos and investment firm Altaris have completed a deal creating a joint venture that will sell security screening equipment for airports, borders and critical infrastructure, operating under the Analogic name.

Leidos and the investment firm Altaris have completed their previously announced transaction to create a joint venture based in the United States. The business will sell security screening equipment for airports, border crossings and critical infrastructure worldwide, under the Analogic brand.
The venture combines Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions' screening operations with Analogic, drawing on both companies' engineering staff and manufacturing plants. Leidos retains a significant minority stake.
Tom Bell, Leidos' chief executive, said the combination creates an American innovator with the skills, people and scale to meet changing screening requirements worldwide.
