Notification and Investigation
The United Kingdom's Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has notified the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an incident involving a Boeing 787-9. The incident occurred on April 29, 2017. In response, the NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the AAIB investigation. This appointment is made under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, as the United States is the State of Manufacturer and Design of the airplane.
