What happened
During the landing phase at Manado-Sam Ratulangi Airport, the aircraft's nose gear failed immediately after making contact with the runway. Following the collapse of the landing gear, the plane slid along its undercarriage and subsequently veered away from the active runway before coming to a complete stop.
Despite the severity of the impact and the subsequent slide, there were no injuries reported among the 45 people on board. While all occupants successfully evacuated the aircraft, the structural damage sustained during the incident was so significant that the plane was declared a total loss.
Findings
Official investigations into the accident concluded that the primary factor was the collapse of the nose gear during the landing sequence. At the time of the report, the specific underlying reason for the mechanical failure remained undetermined.
