What happened
During a flight departing from Labuan Bajo-Mutiara Airport, the aircraft entered its initial climb phase when a mechanical failure occurred. Specifically, the left engine experienced an overspeed condition. In response to this emergency, the crew attempted to perform an emergency landing.
During the descent and landing attempt, the aircraft made contact with rocks before ultimately crashing into a ravine. While the impact was significant, there were no fatalities reported in the accident. All 17 occupants sustained injuries during the event.
