What happened
During a local training session at Surabaya-Juanda Airport, a Casa-Nurtable CN-235 (IPTN) was performing a series of touch-and-go maneuvers. As the crew approached the airport to execute their eighth landing, the aircraft was maintaining an altitude of approximately 500 feet. During this approach phase, the aircraft experienced a sudden roll to the left, which subsequently led to a stall. The plane impacted a pond situated roughly 3 km before the runway, where an intense fire broke out upon impact.
