What happened
During a local training session conducted at Bucharest-Otopeni Airport, a four-engine airplane was performing a sequence of touch-and-go maneuvers. As the aircraft made contact with the runway, it experienced a heavy touchdown that caused the plane to bounce.
Following this impact, the flight crew lost control of the aircraft. The plane subsequently veered off the active runway and came to a halt. While the aircraft sustained damage that rendered it beyond repair, all five crew members were able to evacuate the scene without sustaining any injuries.
