Incident Details
On the 6th of January 2024 at 01:00 UTC, an Embraer ERJ190-100IGW aircraft, registered as LV-CHQ and operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas on a scheduled passenger flight, experienced a wildlife strike during the take-off phase at Río Cuarto Airport in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. While accelerating for departure, the aircraft impacted a hare crossing the runway and simultaneously collided with a bird identified as a tero. In accordance with established operating procedures, the flight crew promptly rejected the take-off.
