Incident
On January 17, 2024, at 23:03 UTC, flight AR1464, operated by an Embraer E-190 (registration LV-CIF), was departing from Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP) on the BIVAM 3B departure route. The crew received clearance to fly direct to waypoint BIVAM and climb to flight level 100 (FL100). While climbing through approximately FL093, the Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) activated in Resolution Advisory (RA) mode due to convergence with another aircraft.
The converging aircraft was flight AR1325, also operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas, an Airbus A330-203 (registration LV-GKP). Flight AR1325 was en route from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) to Ministro Pistarini Airport (EZE) and was in cruise phase. The TCAS RA prompted the required evasive maneuver to maintain separation.
