Incident Overview
On May 12, 2023, at 18:38 UTC, a Beechcraft B200 aircraft, registration LV-FUK, was involved in an incident at San Fernando International Airport, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The aircraft was operated by a private owner on a non-regular air transport medical flight.
Flight Sequence
The flight originated from Malvinas Argentinas International Airport (SAWH) and was destined for San Fernando (SADF). During cruise, prior to descent, the crew observed fluctuations in fuel flow and variations in the parameters of the right engine. The right engine subsequently shut down. The crew declared an emergency and performed a landing without further incident at San Fernando International Airport.
Aircraft and Damage
The aircraft, a Beechcraft B200 (serial number BB-1297, maximum takeoff weight 2251-5700 kg), sustained no damage. No injuries were reported among the two crew members and four passengers on board.
Investigation Outcome
The National Directorate of Aeronautical Incident Investigation (DNISAE) conducted a documentary investigation. Based on the findings, which did not present significant elements that could contribute to operational safety improvement, the case was filed and archived.
