On July 1, 2022, a Robinson R44II helicopter, registration RA-06228, was operating a flight in the Mirninsky District of the Russian Federation. The flight plan, which was filed via email to the Yakutsk Air Traffic Services Center, outlined a route starting from a landing site near the settlement of Novy, traveling through Bes Khobil, and returning to the original takeoff coordinates. The planned flight altitude was 300 meters.
The pilot-in-command and the aircraft owner, who are spouses, had both received training and held certificates for the R44 helicopter. Prior to the flight, the crew had rested for more than eight hours. The flight plan was officially accepted and a flight permit was issued by the Flight Planning and Coordination Center at 04:07 on the day of the event.
During the landing phase of the flight, an incident occurred involving the aircraft. No injuries or fatalities were reported in relation to this event, and no violations of air traffic regulations were recorded during the flight operations.
