What happened
During the landing phase at Port Harcourt Airport, an aircraft carrying personnel from an intervention group was involved in a runway excursion. After touching down on the runway, the aircraft began to skid before veering off the paved surface. The movement continued until the plane came to a complete stop.
All 52 occupants on board were successfully rescued following the incident. Among the group, 10 individuals sustained minor injuries during the excursion. The passengers were part of a specialized team engaged in a disaster response operation at the time of the accident.
