What happened
On a flight originating from Benin City, a twin-engine aircraft was performing an approach to runway 06 at Warri Airport. During this final phase of flight, the aircraft experienced an uncontrolled descent. The plane went down in the vicinity of a refinery situated near Jeddo, which is located approximately 11 km west of the airport.
There were six fatalities resulting from the impact. The occupants of the aircraft included five officers from the Nigerian Army.
