What happened
During the final approach phase of flight into Kaduna Airport, a twin-engine aircraft crashed under conditions of poor visibility and inclement weather. The impact of the crash, followed by a significant post-crash fire, resulted in the total destruction of the airframe.
There were 11 fatalities recorded in the accident, representing the entire occupancy of the aircraft. The passengers included a high-ranking delegation of Nigerian Army officers, including the Chief of Staff of the Nigerian Army, who was traveling with six other officers. The crew consisted of four members, including two Flight Lieutenants, a Sergeant, and an Aircraftman.
