What happened
During an approach to the El Fasher region, a four-engine airplane was struck by gunfire from members of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). The aircraft was targeted by rebel forces while in its final approach phase, leading to a crash at the site.
There were no survivors of the incident. The crash resulted in eight fatalities among the crew members on board. The personnel on the flight included the pilot, several captains, a technical sergeant, and various radio operators and assistants.

Investigations into the event indicate that the aircraft was shot down by rebel forces during the approach to its destination.
