What happened
An aircraft crashed within a desert region situated in the Al Malha district of North Darfur, Sudan. According to reports from military sources, the flight was engaged in a mission to transport medical supplies and military equipment to the Sudan army headquarters located in El Fasher. The accident occurred during the return leg of the mission.
Following the impact, the aircraft was totally destroyed. There were five fatalities among the crew members on board. While the precise circumstances surrounding the crash have not been definitively established, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have asserted that their troops were responsible for shooting down the plane.
