What happened
Following its departure from Wadi Seidna Air Force Base, located near the Omdurman suburb in the northwest Khartoum region, an aircraft lost control and descended into a residential zone adjacent to the airfield. Upon impact, the plane ignited, causing a significant fire. The accident resulted in 46 fatalities in total, comprising all 17 individuals on board the aircraft and 29 people residing on the ground.
Findings
Preliminary reports suggest that the aircraft experienced technical difficulties during the initial climb phase immediately after departing the airbase.
