What happened
During the final approach phase toward Bandar Abbas Airport, an aircraft impacted the ground several dozen yards before reaching the runway threshold. The impact occurred at a low altitude for reasons that remain unconfirmed. Following the collision with the terrain, the wreckage caught fire and was completely destroyed.
There were a total of 28 people on board during the flight. The accident resulted in 11 fatalities, while the remaining 17 occupants were successfully evacuated from the scene.
