While attempting to manage the situation, the plane became uncontrollable and descended into the Campo Belo district, which is situated in close proximity to the airport. The impact resulted in a large fire that consumed the wreckage and several nearby residences. The crash caused the total destruction of four houses. All 15 occupants on board the aircraft perished in the accident. There were no reported fatalities among the residents on the ground.
