What happened
A positioning flight was being conducted between Araxá and Brasilia, which included a scheduled stop in Uberaba. Upon arriving at the intermediate destination, the aircraft type landed on runway 17. Following the touchdown, the crew was unable to decelerate the aircraft sufficiently before the end of the paved surface.
The momentum of the aircraft caused it to exceed the runway limits, resulting in an excursion that breached a perimeter fence and traversed a nearby road. The sequence concluded when the plane came to a halt in a roadside ditch. While there were 10 injuries reported among the occupants, no fatalities occurred. The impact and subsequent excursion resulted in the airframe being declared a total loss.
Findings
The primary factor in the accident was the inability to stop the aircraft within the available runway distance following landing.
