On November 27, 2022, a Robinson R66, registration RA-07390, was scheduled to fly from a landing area near the 'Belka' hunting farm in the village of Vyazovets to the 'Helicopter Moscow' helipad. The flight plan had been approved earlier that evening, though the departure was delayed from 21:20 to 22:00 due to the preparation of hunting trophies for transport.
Before takeoff, approximately 110 kg of hunting trophies were loaded into the baggage compartment, while an additional 30 kg of equipment and personal items were placed on the cockpit floor. The pilot-in-command occupied the right front seat, and a passenger occupied the left front seat. The engine was started at 22:08, and the aircraft departed at 22:12:30.
The accident occurred during the night flight along the pre-planned route. During a sharp turn with a bank angle exceeding 30 degrees, the pilot-in-command lost visual contact with ground landmarks. This loss of orientation led to an uncontrolled increase in vertical descent speed and a subsequent loss of altitude, resulting in a collision with the ground.
The accident resulted in two fatalities.
