On 27 November 2022, a privately owned Robinson R66 helicopter crashed shortly after takeoff from a hunting farm near Vyazovets, Russia. The pilot had loaded hunting trophies and personal gear before departure.

Incident Overview

On 27 November 2022, the pilot-in-command (PIC), who was also the owner of the Robinson R66 helicopter (registration RA-07390), planned a flight from a landing site near the "Belka" hunting farm in Vyazovets to "Heliport Moscow". The flight was intended to be conducted in airspace classes G and C. The flight plan was filed via the internet (SPPI) on the same day, and approval was issued at 20:50 (message PLN No 271750 УУВЖЗДЗЬ). The original departure time was 21:20, but a delay was reported at 21:39, moving departure to 22:00.

A medical examination was not conducted, which was permitted under the applicable regulations (FAP-128, section 8.10.1). The pilot performed a pre-flight inspection of the helicopter, drained and checked fuel sediment.

Loading and Seating

Approximately 110 kg of hunting trophies were loaded into the baggage compartment. Personal belongings and hunting equipment, weighing about 30 kg, were placed on the cabin floor between the front and rear seats. The PIC occupied the right front seat, and a passenger sat in the left front seat. Dual controls were installed.
